Changed our 13-yo conventional door lock to HomeSecure’s Aetos system last weekend. After using it for a few days, i thought to myself — i should have done this months/years ago!
Product (HomeSecure Aetos) - Well-designed and versatile. There are 4-ways to enter — fingerprint (most convenient), RFID card, passcode and master key. Mobile app (TTLock) is very intuitive and user-friendly — you can easily add/delete users and configure them for permanent or temporary (time-bound) access. There’s an audit feature that keeps track of the access events (complete with names and timestamps). Charging is very easy — plug it in like a mobile phone. It also comes with a 1-yr warranty (product and service) which I hope I won’t be needing.
Service - Competent and professional. Our assigned installer (Jervil) came 30 minutes earlier than the agreed schedule. He assessed the current setup thoroughly and made sure the Aetos system would fit the door prior to starting the installation process. We ran into a problem with the first unit, but their tech team was quick to help with the isolation (i missed getting the name of the other guy who went onsite) and a replacement unit was immediately sent after the problem was identified. Jervil was also very familiar with the setup of the unit, both the hardware and the mobile app. Post-installation support was also excellent as as Maricel was quick to assist me when I thought the unit was not charging (user error).
Overall, the experience has been great and I wouldn’t think twice about recommending it to my relatives and friends.
What could be better? — I just hope that the unit connected to our home wifi network so I can control/program it using the mobile app remotely.
The technician is punctual and efficient. He did a demo before leaving and ensure the device works fine and we know how it works. It was also a smooth transaction with Richelle. She is responsive and professional. She checked on me after the device once installed and ensure there are no problems. The device itself is user friendly and serves it's purpose. It is perfect for airbnb units because you can set a pin code for specific time, and then send it to the guests. This ensures that the guests are aware and can keep the pin (no need to memorize) and then ensures they can only use it during their stay. This is worth the price.
Its a good purchase... very convinient to my guest staying in my Airbnb appartment. The seller and consultant is very responsive his name is Bryan. I highly recommend him. I am getting assistance even after the sales. Also I want to mention... just buy the battery they are recommending. Im using mine for 3 months now... I haven't change the battery yet. So I trust that the battery life will last 6-8 months as informed 😀
